We thank all the donors for their much appreciated contribution. We would like to thank Mrs. Zahava Rubner and Mrs. Irit Sharabani for making this project such a success.

"Every picture has its own music" number 2
Another emotional event of "Yeladim Shelanu" Foundation took place with the participation of music schools from around the country, led by Sharon Zilikovski. Paintings which were drawn by children who visited in the "Starlight" Center were screened on a big screen, together with music, singing and dancing which were composed by Yamaha students inspired by the paintings. This year, Ehud Manor composed a song called "Yuval", which was played for the first time by the singer Aviva Avidan and was composed by a student called Aviv Koren. The song got much applause from the audience. As with the event last year, all the income from the event was donated to "Yeladim Shelanu" foundation. We are looking forward to the next event.

Cook Book
40 to 40 - A new cookbook (June 2003), includes a variety of kosher recipes, donated by 40 talented, young Israeli chefs (under 40 years). The chefs were selected by six of the most famous and experienced chefs in Israel. The book presents the personal story of each chef, a fabulous picture of one of the recipes, and 3 of his/her original recipes. The book arrives in a special package. The chromo pages are engaged with spiral and packed in a box. By pulling the cloth loop, the pages turn into a useful stand, which enable positioning the book on the working surface at the kitchen. The book is bi-lingual (Hebrew & English), and thanks to its special structure, its pages can be turn accordingly. The cookbook was produced with much love and dedication mostly by contributions. The proceeds from this book will benefit the children hospitalized at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel (S.C.M.C.I).

Greeting Cards

The cards contain a message of love to the human race and the contribution of the society to singles regardless of race, nationality or region. Proceeds will benefit the children hospitalized at SCMCI.

“Star-Zoom” project, beepers system at Diabetics, & Endocrinology and Day Care Department. In order to avoid long, boring waiting for the children and their parents, we established the “Star-Zoom” project. The children receive beepers at the clinics, which allow them to wait for their test or treatment at the Starlight Center. They are called by the beeper when they turm comes. The Diabetic Clinic has 8 beepers, Day Hospitalization has 6 beepers. The beepers are in use most of the time, when sometimes 2 children use the same beeper.

The "Starlight Center"
“Yeladim Shelanu” Foundation created the Starlight Center in 1996, with the help of generous donors from the community. It is a unique multimedia, computer and audiovisual center that empowers the children and makes them feel more in control of their environment. The Starlight Center offers children a unique play area in a safe and fun environment where they can forget their discomfort and illness for a short time, through arts, crafts and such computer technology as Internet, Tele-Conferencing and Multimedia computer games. It was developed after years of research, which proved that children require more than good medicine to recover and heal: They need joy, laughter and play.

Kits for Diabetic patients
The Foundation is the sole provider of these crucial medical kits, vital for diabetic patients being treated at the Endocrinology Institute. These kits free the children from having to undergo the painful procedure of giving blood over and over again. The kits supply results in 6 minutes, instead of the usual 10 days which reduces discomfort, and anxiety immensely.

The Childlife Program and Playrooms
“Yeladim Shelanu” Foundation donates a monthly budget to buy toys and supply them to the playrooms located in the various departments. The playrooms enable the children who cannot leave their departments to have fun and enjoy themselves.

Fun gifts before proceedures
“Yeladim Shelanu” Foundation donates toys and surprises through the medical staff to children who have to undergo medical and surgical procedures. These toys cheer them up and lessen their fear and apprehension. The staff has expressed how important this program is in helping them bring a smile to the children’s faces!
